The Collingwood Dragon Boat and Canoe club is hosting an open-water race on Saturday, Aug. 21 starting in the harbour and heading out into open water on Georgian Bay.

There are two races: the longer distance is between 15 and 18 km. (weather depending) starting around 10:30 a.m. The shorter race is 5 km. and starts in the early afternoon after the a.m. race has finished. There will be three classes: OC (1 and 2), kayak and surfski. If anyone wants to race stand-up paddleboard, we won't turn them away.

Races are followed by awards and a barbecue. Entry fees are yet to be determined but will likely be around $25 (same price as last year).
