Thanks to the efforts of several clubmembers, who spent several hours sanding and varnishing, the club's BUK dragonboat was ready to hit the water this evening.

A little after five, with about 10 members each side, the dragonboat was carried from its winter home in the historic Watts Boathouse and down the ramp and into the cold, clear waters of Collingwood Harbour.

Ten hardy paddlers then headed out with Captain Bill at the helm for the first paddle of the season. Sure beats trying to paddle the pool at the Y...
